In the beginning, the big, new city was rather intimidating. Cars, bikes, metro stations, tram lines. Much noise and a slightly odd smell. However, once finding Passatge de Gaiola (my current home), I felt a whole load happier. Tucked in a beautiful alley way lined with sweet trees and orche walls, is the public house where Joan, Megan, Fonti and I live. Todos los noches (every night) there are new people to eat, drink and chat with. Because of this, I am so pleased to have so many conversations with so many Spanish speakers- am learning more of the language day by day!! How exciting!

Now this city is home. A source of inspiration, a place where I am able to experience a different culture and new way of living (for me hehe). In this, I hope to thrive and continuously grow as both an artist and a day-to-day human. Haha. I am looking forward to starting classes tomorrow!!

The New Art To Be Created Is Already Changed

How crazy(QUE LOCO!) so quickly you grow to perceive all you are differently when exploring a new place-like a dream, your reality that has been lived for so long now has comparison. Already grateful for what I am experiencing. Without this, these paintings and drawings would not exist. The air, the colours, the sounds of surrounding. The people, the places, the girl that cried to me in Spanish (somehow understood although the language ‘barrier’). These paintings are not ones which I had seen coming, not planned, purely momentarily-trapped in ones canvas for some eternity.
